CONFERENCE SCOPE AND TOPICS

EUROMECH Colloquium No. 427 seeks to bring together European research groups working in structural and multibody dynamics. As such, the Colloquium hopes to promote and encourage the presentations dealing with the interdisciplinary research in dynamics. In order to facilitate a fruitful exchange of new ideas between different communities, the central stage will be reserved for the topic of common interest, computational techniques, theoretical formulations and important application fields.

The scientific program will cover all aspects of Dynamics with emphasis  placed on the following topics :

A. Computational techniques (Discretisation techniques in time and space; Adaptivity, accuracy and error estimates; Adaptations of algorithms and methods; Computational capabilities and efficiency)
B. Theoretical formulations in structural and multibody dynamics (Mathematical analysis of dynamical systems; Coupled transient problems; Multiscale dynamics, Modeling of damage and fracture)
C. Engineering Applications (Structural response to environmental loads; Dynamic contact and collision; Dynamic integrity of structures, Dynamic response of flexible multibody systems; Computational models for dynamic and pseudo-dynamic testing)

CALL FOR PAPERS

Prospective authors are invited to submit an abstract of approximately 500 words (2 pages) to Professor Adnan Ibrahimbegovic by March 1, 2001, containing  the title of the proposed communication, the full address and the name of the corresponding author, with e-mail. The authors are encouraged to indicate to which main conference topic (referenced with letters A to C) their contribution should be related. Submission can be either by mail, fax or e-mail (see address below).
